On the Count of Three
Annapurna Pictures has acquired North American rights to “On the Count of Three” in a deal worth $2 million. Comedian Jerrod Carmichael and Christopher Abbott play two best friends who form a suicide pact in the drama which had a Sundance Film Festival premiere which scored rave reviews and won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award. Godzilla vs. Kong
Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new promo spot for the monster mash-up film, this one showing more of the two beasties duking it out on the ocean in the Adam Wingard-directed film. The features comes to both cinemas and IMAX at the end of March.
Cruella
Walt Disney Studios has released the first official poster for “Cruella,” their upcoming new live-action spin on “101 Dalmatians” with this serving as a 1970s-set prequel focusing on villainess Cruella De Vil. The poster comes ahead of the film’s first trailer tomorrow.
Emma Stone takes on the title role this time voiced by Betty Lou Gerson in the 1961 animated film, and played by Glenn Close in the 1996 live-action remake. Emma Thompson, Joel Fry and Paul Walter Hauser co-star.
