StudioCanal, LD Entertainment, Rabbit’s Foot Films, and Monumental Pictures announce today that filming is underway on “The Custom of the Country” starring Sydney Sweeney and Leo Woodall, Josh Finan, Louis Garrel, Matthew Goode, Rose Leslie, Dominic West, Martha Plimpton, Hugh Dancy, James McArdle, Ian Hart, Irene Jacob and Miranda Richardson.

New details about “The Batman” director Matt Reeves’ new WW2 have emerged. The project will deal with the 1942 summit in Moscow between Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin – the key moment helped lead to the Allied victory three years later. Historian Simon Sebag Montefiore, who also wrote the upcoming “Young Stalin” biopic starring Cosmo Jarvis, penned the script. [Source:
Netflix has set a May 1st release date for “Swapped,” its Michael B. Jordan-led animated feature which also stars Juno Temple, Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, Justina Machado, Ambika Mod, and Lolly Adefope.
FX won’t move forward with a new crime drama series from “The Sopranos” creator David Chase. The untitled witness protection project was commissioned to pilot with Alison Brie playing a high end Washington D.C. madam who enters the program. GKIDS has announced that two acclaimed Studio Ghibli titles will be returning to theaters in their newly remastered 4K versions. 1995’s “Whisper of the Heart” and 2010’s “The Secret World of Arrietty” will officially debut in IMAX theatres for the first time on April 21st and May 19th respectively.
