Cleaner
“One Piece” live-action’s Sanji actor Taz Skylar will co-star opposite Daisy Ridley in “Goldeneye” director Martin Campbell’s “Cleaner”. The film will shoot in early 2024 and falls under the British Equity act (so can film during the SAG-AFTRA strike).
In the film, radical activists take over an energy company’s annual gala at London’s The Shard. Their cause is hijacked by a zealous extremist ready to murder everyone in the building. Ridley plays an ex-soldier turned window cleaner who is the only one who can save those trapped inside, take down the killers and bring the corrupt energy moguls to justice. [Source: Deadline]
No Fakes
A newly proposed bipartisan U.S. senate bill, dubbed the ‘No Fakes’ act, aims to discourage the use of AI-generated deepfakes and bring greater legal protection to actors and public figures.
If passed, the ‘Nurture Originals, Foster Art, and Keep Entertainment Safe Act’ would hold people who produce A.I. deepfakes liable in civil claims should the original artist pursue legal action over the unauthorized use of their likeness. [Source: Rolling Stone]
