BlackBerry
This year’s well-received biographical comedy feature “BlackBerry” is being turned into a three-part limited series for AMC which will premiere on the network and the AMC+ streamer on November 13th.
Glenn Howerton and Jay Baruchel star in the story about the creation of the now-defunct phone company and how the rise of Androids and Apple contributed to its downfall. The film released back on May 12th. [Source: AMC]
The Exorcist: Believer
Blumhouse Pictures has announced that the recently released “The Exorcist: Believer” is set to be available for purchase or PVOD rental from tomorrow (October 24th) on serves like iTunes, Amazon and Vudu. The film has pulled in more than $107 million at the global box office thus far.
Blue Steel
Kathryn Bigelow’s police-themed action thriller “Blue Steel” will be coming to Blu-ray for the first time on November 14th. The Jamie Lee Curtis-led film which also stars Ron Silver, Clancy Brown, Elizabeth Peña, Louise Fletcher, Richard Jenkins, Kevin Dunn and Tom Sizemore.
The release will get new special features featuring a trio of film historians – a commentary by Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, a video essay by Chris O’Neill, and a featurette by Professor Jennifer Moorman. Gran Turismo
Sony’s film adaptation of their “Gran Turismo” gaming franchise is set to be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD from November 7th. The title has already been available on digital platforms for a while. The disc release will include bonus features such as deleted scenes and at least five featurettes.
A Haunting in Venice
Kenneth Branagh’s third Agatha Christie adaptation “A Haunting in Venice” has set its home video and streaming release dates. The film will premiere both on Hulu and to purchase on digital on October 31st. The Blu-ray and DVD, along with VOD rental, will take place on November 28th.
