“Heated Rivalry” star Connor Storrie has joined the cast of Sarah Polley’s film adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s book “The Bell Jar” which has Billie Eilish in the lead role. Focus Features is distributing the film currently in production.

The semi-autobiographical novel follows Esther Greenwood (Eilish), a young woman who appears to have a bright future but gradually descends into depression. As she contends with societal expectations, personal identity, and the pressure to succeed, Esther experiences profound isolation and suffocation. [Source: Facebook]

Barbara Ling
Barbara Ling, the production designer on films ranging from Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” to Joel Schumacher’s two Batman films, has died at the age of 73.

A spokesperson for agency representation confirmed she died Thursday in Santa Barbara after a battle with cancer. Other works included “Falling Down,” “The Doors,” “Fried Green Tomatoes,” and most recently “Michael”. [Source: THR]

Christopher Nolan
Acclaimed “The Odyssey” filmmaker Christopher Nolan has an opinion about filmmaker Quentin Tarantino‘s infamous ‘retire after ten movies’ rule, saying he hopes the filmmaker will reconsider. He tells The Telegraph:

“I think it’s dangerous to look at it that specifically. I mean, Quentin has his reasons, and I respect those enormously. But I’m hoping that he won’t stay true to them.”

Guy Ritchie and “Suspicion” showrunner Rob Williams are co-creating “Capital,” a new modern-day London set crime drama TV series at Prime Video. Ritchie will direct and produce the drama with cast and story unknown. He and Amazon most recently teamed on “Young Sherlock”. [Source: The Playlist]
