The Batman
Gil Perez-Abraham (“Pose”) has joined the cast of Matt Reeves’ currently shooting “The Batman” film in an unspecified role. Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Zoe Kravitz, Andy Serkis and Paul Dano lead the cast of the film which is scheduled for a June 25th 2021 release. [Source: THR]

The Little Things
The John Lee Hancock-directed crime thriller “The Little Things” has been set for a January 29th 2021 release. The project recently wrapped filming in December in Los Angeles.

The film follows Deke (Denzel Washington), a grizzled Kern County deputy sheriff who has to team up with the hotshot LA Detective Baxter (Rami Malek) to catch a serial killer. Jared Leto, Sofia Vassilieva, Natalie Morales, Terry Kinney, Michael Hyatt, Jason James Richter, Chris Bauer, and Kerry O’Malley co-star. [Source: Collider]

The Mandalorian
Filmmaker James Mangold (“Logan,” “Indiana Jones 5”) has shot down this past week’s rumor that he’s directing an episode of the second season of “The Mandalorian” on Disney+. Mangold says: “I can tell you its not true about me. Not doing it, never discussed it.” At the same time, the reports claim Bryce Dallas Howard is helming an episode have seemingly been confirmed by her father Ron Howard. [Source: The Playlist]

WeCrashed
Apple is turning the Wondery podcast “WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork” into a potential limited series order. The project will be executive produced and co-written by Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello.

The project will be tonally in the vein of “The Big Short” which will be based on the six-part podcast which documents the rise and fall of WeWork, the New York-headquartered commercial real estate company that provides shared workspaces for technology startups and other services. [Source: Deadline]
