David S. Goyer’s podcast series “Batman Unburied,” a thriller in which Bruce Wayne works as a forensic pathologist in Gotham Hospital, will launch on Spotify worldwide on May 3rd.

Filmmaker James Gunn has confirmed that the highly-anticipated and currently in production “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” just broke the World Record for most makeup appliances created for a single production, beating out 2000’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. A24 has set an August 5th date for the horror-comedy feature “Bodies Bodies Bodies”. The story follows a group of rich twentysomethings who plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion. Soon a party game goes awry and things turn lethal. [Source: A24]
To Catch a King
Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer’s book “To Catch a King” will be adapted by “Philomena” duo Steve Coogan and Jeff Pope for Baby Cow. It is yet to be determined whether the project will be a TV series or feature.
Spencer’s 2017 book tells the story of the 21-year-old King Charles II’s run from Oliver Cromwell’s army, who had overthrown the monarchy and publicly executed Charles’ father. That includes his infamously hiding in an oak tree as the troops passed by below. [Source: Deadline]
