“Wicked,” “Bridgerton” and “Jurassic World: Rebirth” actor Jonathan Bailey, who just made the cover of Time Magazine, has shot down reports that he’s taking a year break from acting. Bailey tells Time he will continue ongoing work in film and theater alongside his commitments to his charity – the Shameless Fund supporting LGBTQ+ non-profits.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle
A VP at Crunchyroll says the “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” film isn’t coming to streaming anytime soon, certainly not in calendar year 2025, as the company wants people to see the film in cinemas. The title has earned over $600 million worldwide to date. [Source: The Pop Verse]
Halo
Halo Studios (formerly known as 343 Industries) has announced a panel at next month’s Halo World Championship will take a ‘deep dive’ into the future of the series. The panel, taking place on October 24th, is expected to share more about what the company is working on – namely using Unreal Engine 5 to create multiple “Halo” games.
The last main game in the series was “Halo Infinite” back in 2021 which subsequently failed at retaining a large player base for its multiplayer. It has also long been rumored that “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” could come to PS5 in the near future. [Source: VGC]
The Testament of Ann Lee
Searchlight Pictures has acquired North American rights to Mona Fastvold’s musical film “The Testament of Ann Lee” which screened at Venice and TIFF. Amanda Seyfried stars.
The story follows the woman who founded the Shakers movement and was proclaimed by her followers as the ‘female Christ’. Critics are split on the feature was made for under $10 million. [Source: Searchlight]

Hulu has premiered the trailer for the “Family Guy” Halloween special which will stream on the service on October 6th. Titled “A Little Fright Music,” Brian and Stewie realise there is a shortage of quality Halloween songs, so they set out to write a hit, and Peter and the guys discover that lying about trick or treating can have deadly consequences.
