Avatar: Fire and Ash
The MPAA has handed out a PG-13 rating for “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the third entry in the James Cameron-directed franchise.
The listing confirms that the rating will be for “intense sequences of violence and action, bloody images, some strong language, thematic elements, and suggestive material”.
That suggests more intense action than prior entries, which got the same MPAA rating but less colourful reasoning. [Source: Yahoo]
The Odyssey
Long-running Chris Nolan fan account Nolan Analyst reports that due to “The Odyssey” locking down all IMAX screens between July 17th and August 14th, Sony and Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” won’t be getting an IMAX release next summer. The film wasn’t shot in IMAX, so it’s not a huge surprise.
