– Lucasfilm has released character posters for two supporting characters in “Star Wars: Ahsoka” following their appearance in the show’s third episode. Jacen Syndulla (here) and Mon Mothma (here).

– GKIDS has released a special teaser announcing that the first U.S. trailer for Miyazaki’s “The Boy and the Heron” will arrive online on Wednesday, September 6th.

– The Jake Gyllenhaal-led “Road House” remake has been given an R rating by the MPA for “violence throughout, pervasive language and some nudity”.

– Francis Ford Coppola’s long-awaited passion project “Megalopolis” has become the latest film to land an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA, even though it finished filming earlier this year.

– Director Louis Leterrier says that Jason Momoa’s villain Dante will be quite different in the upcoming “Fast 11” film, the director telling Empire (via Movieweb): “Let’s do something else. It’s never twice the same with Jason. Dante will truly evolve. Let’s explore something we haven’t seen before.”

– Disney has announced they will officially be releasing a special restored and remastered edition of 1937’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” for the first time on a 4K Ultra HD disc on October 10th.

– Netflix has released the first clip for sports biographical drama “Nyad” starring Annette Bening and Jodie Foster in a ping-pong playing scene. Bening stars in the biopic as long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad. It opens October 20th. Click here for the clip.

– The producers behind the “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” stage production are teaming with Broadway Licensing Group to bring a reworked version to worldwide school theater programs in 2024.

– NBCUniversal has added “Pearson,” the short-lived “Suits” spin-off series, to the Peacock service after “Suits” has become a major hit on Netflix this summer.

– Renowned British theater producer John Gore has acquired iconic British horror label Hammer Films and Studios. Gore will lead a new team as chair and CEO.
