Black Adam
Dwayne Johnson has made it official that his “Black Adam” feature is heading to San Diego Comic-Con with a panel set for Saturday, July 23rd in Hall H. The project marks one of the very few DC properties set to be showcased at the event. [Source: Instagram]

Armageddon Time
“Ad Astra” and “The Lost City of Z” director James Gray’s new intimate drama “Armageddon Time” has set a release with Focus Features opening it in a limited run on October 28th followed by an expansion through to a wide release on November 11th.

Anthony Hopkins, Jeremy Strong and Anne Hathaway star in the film about a young boy (Banks Repeta) and his best friend (Jaylin Webb), and how his move to a private school away from his friend opens his eyes to his privilege and the inherent unfairness of the world. [Source: The Playlist]

Pieces
Taylor Kitsch (“John Carter,” “The Terminal List”) has confirmed that “Yellowstone” creator has “had his hand in” helping Kitsch out on the actor’s feature directing debut “Pieces”. The film follows three friends in Detroit who accidentally intercept a drug run. Peter Berg is also onboard as producer. [Source: Variety]

Hedda Gabler
“Candyman” remake writer/director Nia DaCosta will pen and helm a reimagining of Henrik Ibsen’s famous play “Hedda Gabler” for Orion Pictures and Plan B.

The story follows a woman as she navigates a house she does not want, a marriage she feels trapped in and an ex-lover who has reappeared in her life. [Source: Variety]

E3 2023
The ESA and veteran event production company ReedPop have announced that E3 will return in-person in Los Angeles next June. The event was a major week for game announcements from companies of different sizes.
