Peacock has cancelled its “Queer as Folk” reboot, opting not to pick up the series for a second season. The show’s creator Stephen Dunn shared the news on Instagram late Friday.
Devin Way, Fin Argus, Jesse James Keitel, CG, Johnny Sibilly and Ryan O’Connell starred in this third iteration of the franchise. The first season of the reboot premiered in full on the streamer June 9th.
The series explored a diverse group of friends in New Orleans whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy.
The show followed on from the ten-episode UK original from 1999, a show that launched the careers of actors Charlie Hunnam and Aiden Gillen, and the five-season-long Showtime drama which ran from 2000-2005.
