Marvel Studios is very busy at the moment, with two productions currently underway on both sides of the Atlantic.
In New York, filming is continuing on “The Punisher” one-off special presentation with shooting on that expected to wrap within the next week or so.
Actor Jon Bernthal has been photographed on-set sporting a new look including a much whiter skull insignia on his chest, a new hairstyle, thicker beard and more.
Also recorded has been a video of chaos in New York for a sequence likely towards the presentation’s end. Bernthal’s Frank Castle seemingly ignores what’s happening around him including a burning police car and some citizens fighting each other.
Bernthal has promised that the one-off will not be “Punisher-lite” and aims to have a “real sacred integrity to the source material”.
Once wrapped, Bernthal is expected to hop over to Glasgow where production is continuing on “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”. It will mark Bernthal’s first appearance in an MCU movie.
That project is currently shooting a major traffic chase sequence on the streets of the Scottish city, with a rumour being that a tank in the sequence is being driven by Bernthal’s Frank.
More video of that filming has also emerged, showing an explosion erupting as the police chase of the tank takkes place.
Both “The Punisher” special presentation and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” are due out next year.
