“Project Hail Mary” Plans Big Game Spot

Amazon MGM Studios

Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures International have announced that both the final trailer for Phil Lord & Chris Miller’s “Project Hail Mary,” and a ‘Big Game Spot’ to air during the Super Bowl, will be released this coming Sunday.

In addition, a $99.99 830-piece LEGO set tied to the movie has also been announced with first look photos available below. That set arrives on March 1st.

The project is a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by “The Martian” author Andy Weir. Drew Goddard, who penned that adaptation, returns as screenwriter for this.

In “Project Hail Mary,” Ryan Gosling stars as a professor-turned-astronaut Ryland Grace who awakens on a spacecraft with no memory of himself or his mission.

He deduces he is the sole survivor of a crew sent to the Tau Ceti solar system in search of a solution to a catastrophic event on Earth.

In his search for answers, Grace must rely on his vast array of scientific knowledge, sheer ingenuity, and human will – but he may not have to search alone. Sandra Hüller and Milana Vayntrub co-star in the film.

The film is being produced and directed by “The LEGO Mocie” directors and animated “Spider-Verse” franchise producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

“Project Hail Mary” is set to open in cinemas on March 20th 2026.
