“Power Rangers” Reunion Special First Look

Netflix

The first photos and a featurette have been released from “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always,” an upcoming Netflix special to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

In the scripted narrative adventure, the former rangers must return and reunite to go up against a familiar threat from the past. It will feature the return of Walter Emanuel Jones as Zack Taylor (the first Black Ranger) and David Yost as Billy Cranston (the Blue Ranger) – two of the original five teenagers chosen by Zordon to be Power Rangers.

Joining them are Steve Cardenas as Rocky DeSantos (the second Red Ranger), Karan Ashley as Aisha Campbell (the second Yellow Ranger), Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam Park (the second Black Ranger), and Catherine Sutherland as Kat Hillard (the second Pink Ranger).

That’s not all though, as Barbara Goodson and Richard Horvitz are reprising their voice roles of villain Rita Repulsa Zordon’s robot assistant Alpha 5.

Finally Charlie Kersh is joining as Minh, the daughter of Trini Kwan/the first Yellow Ranger. Thuy Trang, played Trini, passed away after a car accident in 2001.

The original series premiered on Fox Kids in 1993 and became something of a global cultural phenomenon in the 1990s. The property spawned three movies, including the big-budget 2017 reboot starring Dacre Montgomery and Eizabeth Banks, and various successor TV series.

The “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Once & Always” special will premiere on Netflix worldwide on April 19th.
