Powell Majors Led Devotion Sets New Date
Sony Pictures

Sony Pictures has delayed its Korean war fighter pilot drama “Devotion” by a few weeks in order to give it larger release plans.

Originally set for a limited October 14th release before an expanding roll out over the following two weeks, the movie will now score a wide release on Wednesday, November 23rd in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Jonathan Majors (“Loki,” “Lovecraft Country”) and Glen Powell (“Top Gun: Maverick,” “The Set-Up”) star as two elite U.S. Navy fighter pilots during the Korean War. Their heroic sacrifices ultimately would make them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen in this J.D. Dillard-directed true story tale.

The project joins Disney animation’s “Strange World,” Steven Spielberg’s autobiographical drama “The Fabelmans,” Luca Guadagnino’s young cannibal romance tale “Bones and All” and an untitled Neon release that weekend.

Jake Crane & Jonathan A. H. Stewart penned the script based on the book by Adam Makos. Molly Smith, Rachel Smith, Thad Luckinbill and Trent Luckinbill produce.
