Posters & Featurette: “Wicked For Good”

Universal Pictures

Universal Pictures has premiered a new featurette for “Wicked: For Good,” the upcoming second “Wicked” movie that adapts the back half of the musical.

Both films were shot back-to-back, but the second film begins years after the events of the first. Elphaba, now an enemy of the state of Oz and dubbed the Wicked Witch of the West.

At the same time, Glinda has become a public figure controlled by the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) and Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh).

The first film was a critical and commercial success, the highest-grossing movie musical of all time as well as landing ten Oscar nominations, including wins for costume and production design.

The second film has two new songs not in the original stage musical – one each for Glinda and Elphaba. In the musical, Dorothy Gale is seen only as a shadow, but here she and her friends will be seen a bit more.

“Wicked: For Good” is set to open in cinemas on November 12th.
