Portman NOT In Talks For “Ahsoka” Season 2

A “Star Wars” rumor that gained a bit of traction over the weekend has quickly been shot down.

Recent scooper Kristian Harloff reported that actress Natalie Portman was potentially close to signing a deal to return as Padmé Amidala in the upcoming second season of “Star Wars: Ahsoka”.

The scooper claimed that Dave Filoni has been working hard to bring Portman back to the franchise and that he believes the two sides are close to reaching a deal.

It also follows on from reports that the new season will bring back Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker – effectively serving as a reunion of the core prequel trilogy cast members, presumably for a flashback or a World Between Worlds vision.

However, long-running site Star Wars News Net has shot down the report. They claim that according to their sources, the rumour is “not accurate,” and Portman is not even in talks – let alone ‘close to a deal’ to return to the franchise.

Portman has not appeared in a “Star Wars” project in twenty years but did indicate back in 2023 that she was open to returning but hadn’t been asked as yet.
