A few quick updates on the PlayStation front. Variable refresh rate (VRR) is finally coming to PS5 with an update this week – adding a feature that the Xbox Series X has had since its launch.

The feature will automatically be enabled for supported games if the PS5 console is connected to an HDMI 2.1 VRR-compatible TV or PC monitor.

Titles receiving VRR capability in coming weeks include both “Marvel’s Spider-Man” titles, “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart,” “Astro’s Playroom” “Resident Evil Village,” “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands,” “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege,” “Tribes of Midgard,” “Destiny 2,” “Devil May Cry 5,” “DIRT 5,” “Godfall,” “Call of Duty: Vanguard” and “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War”. More will be added shortly.

Onto other PS News and a June 22nd date has reportedly been set for the Australian and New Zealand release of the overhauled PlayStation Plus service – timed with the European launch of the service update.

Finally, Epic Games Store has apparently set a June 20th release date for the PC version of the “Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves” collection. The compilation title contains remasters of “Uncharted 4” and its expansion “The Lost Legacy” along with various graphical improvements and options.
