With several PlayStation-exclusive titles having made a successful jump to PC in recent years, it seems the bosses at Sony are set to double down on their plans.

Speaking at an investor briefing early this morning, Sony PlayStation president Jim Ryan revealed that the company made $80 million from PC games over the 2021 financial year (ending March 31st 2022) – up from the $35 million in the year prior.

Now, the company has big plans for the coming financial year with Sony saying they expect to make $300 million in PC sales alone. How they plan to do this isn’t clear.

So far the “Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection” expected this Summer is the only officially announced port of a PlayStation exclusive to PC on the docket.

Sony has plenty of others that could make the jump though with the likes of “Bloodborne,” “Marvel’s Spider-Man,” “Ghost of Tsushima” and “The Last of Us” all high on PC player wishlists. Recent reports suggest a PC version of “Returnal” is not far off being announced.

However another potential source of revenue is their plans to grow their live-service franchises from one to three over the next twelve months and to have as many as twelve live-service games going by 2025.

The company also revealed life-to-date revenue of the PC versions of several of their titles including “Horizon: Zero Dawn” ($60 million), “God of War” ($26.2 million) and “Days Gone” ($22.7 million). They’re strong numbers, but admittedly pale compared to console sales where the likes of “God of War” and “Horizon: Zero Dawn” grossed at least $500 million and $400 million respectively in revenue in their first two years according to PS Lifestyle.
