“Picard” Cut Scene Reveals Worf’s Truth

Paramount+

Following its acclaimed and successful run earlier this year, Paramount Home Entertainment has just released the third and final season of “Star Trek: Picard” on home video formats.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ALL OF SEASON THREE

The season saw the return of numerous familiar characters, including Michael Dorn’s Worf, who came back as something of a pacifist on a many years long mission to take down changeling infiltrators within Starfleet.

It marked a decided change from the Worf we knew of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” who was quick to aggression and seemingly enjoyed combat, even as he grew more judicious in terms of how he engaged in it as hew got older.

Now, TV Line has premiered a new deleted scene from that third season, looking to be a scene that takes place during the Daystrom Station raid. The scene reveals just how much of a toll his decades of hunting took on him.

Worf reveals he worked alone, plagued by paranoia and suspicion, and “slaying with certainty villains with innocent faces”. Then, one day, he ended up killing an innocent woman – the first time he had ever done so. He added: “I swore to temper myself: my rage, my suspicion” to repay a debt he simply could not.
