Apple has handed out a second season renewal for its Rose Byrne-led dramedy “Physical”. The announcement comes just days before the first season wraps its run.
The 1980s-set half-hour dramedy was picked up straight to series in January 2020 after Byrne signed on to star for showrunner Annie Weisman. Byrne next appears opposite her “Neighbors” co-star Seth Rogen in Apple comedy series “Platonic”.
That’s not the only renewal news today. Adult Swim has renewed the Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong-led animated series “Tuca & Bertie” for a third season.
Adult Swim revived the show after Netflix cancelled it following its first season in 2019, with that second season airing in June. Adult Swim has also secured international rights to seasons two and three and will make the series available globally via its platforms.
