Actor-turned-director Peter Horton (TV’s The Shield,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) will write and direct an adaptation of Michael Shnayerson’s novel “Coal River” for United Artists reports Variety.
The story focuses on a legal battle between environmentalists and the coal industry among Appalachian communities in West Virginia.
