Penelope Ann Miller (“Carlito’s Way,” “The Relic,” “The Shadow”) will play Nancy Reagan opposite Dennis Quaid as Ronald Reagan in a new biopic about the 40th U.S. President from Rawhide Pictures.
The indie drama titled “Reagan” is quietly in production in Oklahoma at present under the helm of Sean McNamara (“Soul Surfer”).
The film will track Reagan’s life through the eyes of a KGB agent (Jon Voight), a fictional character, as he tracks his career from “anti-Communist crusader to leader of the free world”. Robert Davi is also onboard as former Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev.
Howard Klausner and Jonas McCord penned the script based on the novel “The Crusader” by Paul Kengor. Mark Joseph (“The Vessel,” “No Safe Space”) produces.
