Peele, Rae Team For Genre Tale “Sinkhole”

Jordan Peele and Issa Rae are teaming for a new feature adaptation of Leyna Krow’s short story “Sinkhole” at Universal Pictures.

The story follows a young family who moves into their dream home, except for the gaping sinkhole in the backyard. The sinkhole manages to take all things that are broken and destroyed and make them perfect again. But what will it do to a person?

Peele and Rae will produce with “Insecure” star Rae potential starring in a film dubbed a “genre piece that engages on the question of female perfection and identity.” Montrel McKay, Sara Rastogi and Win Rosenfeld will also produce.
