Nearly two years after the teaser trailer was released back in May 2020, Peacock has finally set a May 19th 2022 premiere date for its limited series “Angelyne”.
Anyone who knows Los Angeles even semi-well knows of Angelyne. The blond bombshell with her iconic pink outerwear and Corvette is one of the first examples of a celebrity famous just for being famous – renting out billboards across the city advertising only herself.
The five-episode series sees former “Shameless” star Emmy Rossum who, with the help of some prosthetics and a lot of strategic costuming, hair and make-up, is nearly unrecognisable in the role.
Lucy Tcherniak directs the series’s entire run with Martin Campbell, Alex Karpovsky, Jefferson Hall, Lukas Gage, Charlie Rowe, Hamish Linklater, Michael Angarano and David Krumholtz co-starring.
