Peacock has handed out a straight-to-series order for a TV adaptation of Ryan Parrott’s 2020 comic “Dead Day”.
The story follows an ensemble of characters as they navigate the annual ‘dead day,’ when for one night the dead come back to complete unfinished business – be it to celebrate a night back on earth or to torment the living.
The story follows the Haskins, a seemingly normal suburban family as they prepare for the zombie fest.
The project hails from “The Vampire Diaries” showrunners Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson who will serve as co-showrunners and writers on the Universal Television and Aftershock Media series.
