Peacock has handed out a ten-episode direct-to-series order for “Poker Face” which hails from “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Knives Out” writer-director Rian Johnson and stars “Russian Doll” alum Natasha Lyonne.
Johnson will serve as creator, writer and director of the series. He will also executive produce alongside partner Ram Bergman, Lyonne and Nena Rodriguez.
While the story is under wraps, Johnson describes it as a: “fun, character-driven, case-of-the-week mystery goodness I grew up watching.”
This marks the first show Johnson has created, but he has helmed TV before including several famous “Breaking Bad” episodes along with the acclaimed “Terriers”. T-Street and MRC Television are backing the project.
