Paulson-Led “Run” Ditching Theatrical For Hulu

The Sarah Paulson-led horror thriller “Run,” originally slated for a May 8th theatrical run, has now been acquired by Hulu who have acquired the domestic rights. The film will still be released theatrically in select international markets.

The story centers on the relationship between a mother (Paulson) and daughter (Kiera Allen). The mother has raised her daughter in total isolation, controlling every move she’s made since birth, but when the wheelchair-bound teen begins to grasp the unsettling secrets around her, it sets off a chain of events that see the girl in the fight of her life.

Aneesh Chaganty penned and co-wrote the film with Sev Ohanian – the same team behind the acclaimed desktop thriller “Searching” with John Cho. The film is also noteworthy as the first major thriller since 1948’s “The Sign of the Ram” to star a wheelchair user.
