Paul Mescal (“Aftersun,” “Normal People”) will lead Oscar-winner Kevin Macdonald’s modern espionage thriller “A Spy By Nature”.
The project is an adaptation of the first novel in Charles Cumming’s bestselling Alec Milius spy series. John Hodge (“Trainspotting”) and Joseph Charlton (“Industry”) will adapt the script.
The story will follow Milius, a disillusioned but gifted with deception twenty-something who catches the attention of MI6. At work he’s caught up in a geopolitical war on commodities, at home he struggles to preserve a relationship with his girlfriend.
As his web of lies grows, he is forced to confront whether he can be a good man as well as a good spy. Chris Clark and Quentin Curtis produce.
