“The Batman” and “Good Time” star Robert Pattinson is in talks to star in “Parasite” and “The Host” director Bong Joon Ho’s next film.
Bong is reportedly in talks to write, produce and direct the currently untitled feature loosely based on Edward Ashton’s upcoming novel “Mickey7” for Warner Bros. Pictures, Offscreen, Kate Street Picture Company and Plan B.
The book, to be published this quarter, follows Mickey, a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. He’s selected because if he dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, he begins to truly understand the terms of his deal.
The project marks Bong’s second deal with WarnerMedia following an HBO limited series based on “Parasite” which is still in development.
