“South Park” creators Matt Stone & Trey Parker are reportedly set to direct a new film tentatively titled “Alma Junction” for Scott Rudin Productions.
Discussing Film published the report, indicating “Midsommar” and “Hereditary” cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski will serve in that capacity on this film. Alex G. Scott will also executive produce.
Plot specifics are under wraps but the title has already led to speculation of it being code for either a new “South Park” film or a “Book of Mormon” movie adaptation. Rudin previously worked with Parker & Stone on both “South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut” and “Team America: World Police”.
The report hasn’t been confirmed as yet.
