Paramount Pictures and MTV Films have picked up life rights deals to create the fact-based drama “Bong Hits 4 Jesus” reports Variety.
Story concerns a high school student in Juneau, Alaska, whose suspension over displaying a “Bong Hits 4 Jesus” message on a 14-foot sign outside the school, turned into a battle over free speech that was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mark Poirier will pen the script which is expected to have a “Freedom Writers” and “Erin Brockovich”-esque style tone.
