Paramount Pictures brought 20 minutes of footage from “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” to CinemaCon today – the clip screening for movie theater owners.
Tom Cruise himself apparently wasn’t on hand with those involved in the film busy working on ‘Part Two’ right now.
A lengthy sequence was shown off, the chase scene glimpsed in last year’s trailer in which Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell’s characters race around the streets of Rome in a yellow mini Fiat.
Turns out the sequence is much longer and has them using motorcycles, police cars and old cars – all the while the pair are handcuffed together. The sequence reportedly takes place early in the film but is not the opening sequence.
In addition, it was announced the film’s release date has been moved up two days and will now open on July 12th. The film’s official second trailer was also shown to the crowd, however it has NOT been put online as it’s apparently not yet ready.
Christopher McQuarrie returns to direct whilst the cast also includes Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Shea Wingham, Pom Klementieff, Cary Elwes, Esai Morales and Henry Czerny.
“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” opens in cinemas on July 12th.
