Paramount Pictures has acquired an untitled musical drama feature conceived by prolific and celebrated songwriter Diane Warren and based on her original music catalogue along with a few new songs.
Warren is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and has won a Grammy, an Emmy, a Golden Globe and been nominated for eleven Oscars. Her film themes include “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” for “Mannequin,” “Because You Loved Me” for “Up Close and Personal,” “How Do I Live” for “Con Air,” “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” for “Coyote Ugly,” “Faith of the Heart” for “Patch Adams” and many more.
She has written nine number-one songs and 32 top ten songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In the 1980s, Warren became the first songwriter in the history of Billboard magazine to have seven hits, all by different artists, on the singles chart at the same time.
Tamara Chestna (“The Art of More”) is writing the script for the project which Warren will produce with Polygram Entertainment’s Jody Gerson and David Blackman.
