Paramount Network will rebrand itself as the Paramount Movie Network with a new focus on television movies.
As a result, the network has cancelled a bunch of non-scripted titles including “Ink Master,” “Wife Swap” and “Battle of the Fittest Couples,” while others like “Bar Rescue” and “Lip Sync Battle” will move to other ViacomCBS networks.
The plan is to air 52 original movies a year on the network with one mini-series or scripted series per quarter, including the network’s currently flagship monster hit “Yellowstone”.
Development of these telemovies will be overseen by former A+E Networks exec Meghan Hooper White. The move marks the latest change at ViacomCBS the reveal of CBS All Access rebranding as Paramount+.
