“Paper Mario” Players Find Rude Easter Egg

“Paper Mario: The Origami King” has just been released for the Nintendo Switch, a game that contains several moments of fourth-wall breaking humor.

It’s a game series that hasn’t been shy on subtle innuendo in the past, but now a full on gratuitous dong joke has been discovered within as one of the game’s collectibles titled ‘Desert Tower’ reports Polygon.

The collectible, a fawn-colored miniature version of one of the four towers residing in the purple sands of the Scorching Sandpaper Desert, is the 69th of 135 collectibles in the game. This one boasts a bulbous top resembling Captain Toad and two pronounced fortification walls at the base.

Even the item description is suggestive, saying the tower is “said to be modelled after a legendary king”. Still, debate has begun about whether this was intentional or just a gaffe. You can see an image of said collectible up on Twitter.
