The time loop romantic-comedy “Palm Springs,” starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti, hit Hulu this past Friday and has broken records.
Max Barbakow’s film, which scored raves at the Sundance Film Festival and set records as the biggest deal at the annual Park City fest, has pulled in more views over its first three days than any other film on Hulu in the same time period.
The film has also generated the highest social media interest for any Hulu original film to date, and was the most discussed Hulu original film on Twitter over its first three days.
The release is part of a partnership between Hulu and Neon which has seen Hulu benefit greatly – such as becoming the online home of Bong Joon-ho’s “Parasite” in April where i became the most-streamed independent or foreign-language film on the service in its first week of availability.
