StudioCanal and Heyday Films have set a January 17th 2025 U.S. release date for the highly anticipated third “Paddington” movie “Paddington in Peru”.

The film will go earlier internationally though beginning with its U.K. release which takes place on November 8th 2024. Further markets will get the film in the weeks after that.

Additionally, newcomer Carlo Tous is replacing Rachel Zegler in the role of Gina Cabot after Zegler had to exit due to being unable to film because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

Sally Hawkins previously dropped out as Mrs. Brown and will be replaced by Emily Mortimer. Ben Whishaw is back as the voice of Paddington alongside Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin. Jim Broadbent, Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas also star whilst Imelda Staunton will voice Aunt Lucy.

The new film brings the bear’s story to Peru as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears.

With the Brown Family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and to the mountain peaks of the country.

Dougal Wilson helms the project which recently completed filming on location in London, Peru and Colombia.
