“Oppenheimer,” “Saw X” Set Disc Dates

A bunch of home video and streaming date announcements for various major releases of the past few months have all hit today.

First up, Deadline reports that “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse” is coming to U.S. Netflix on October 31st. Details on a release in other markets have yet to be disclosed.

Next, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment have announced that Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” will be released on digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 21st, exactly four months after its theatrical release.

Lionsgate has announced that “Saw X” will score a PVOD release on October 20th followed by a regular digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD release on November 21st. The disc release will contain deleted scenes, multiple featurettes and a commentary.

Lionsgate has also announced that the fourth “Expendables” film will also be coming to digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD release on November 21st.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has also announced a “The Expanse: The Complete Series” Blu-ray box-set for November 14th. Sadly no 4K UHD release is planned at this time.

Steven Spielberg’s original adaptation of “The Color Purple” will be getting a 4K UHD release on December 5th, the release coming ahead of the new musical film adaptation in cinemas at Christmas.

Finally, Criterion have announced their January titles with 4K UHDs of “Trainspotting,” “The Apu Trilogy,” “Lone Star” and “Blood Simple” coming along with Blus for Dee Rees’ “Mudbound” and “Chantal Akerman Masterpieces, 1968–1978”.
