Netflix has premiered the new trailer for John Madden’s dramatic thriller “Operation Mincemeat” about an absurd real-life WW2 operation.
The story follows two British officers who plant false documents on the body of a dead man in enemy waters in an effort to spread misinformation to the Axis powers.
However, not everyone in the British naval and intelligence hierarchy is convinced the ruse will work. Michelle Ashford penned the script.
Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen, Kelly Macdonald, Jason Isaacs, Penelope Wilton, Simon Russell Beale and Johnny Flynn star.
The film opens next week in the UK, hits select U.S. cinemas next month and will score a release on Netflix on May 11th.
