Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” is set to go overseas for its next season.
Though not formally renewed for a sixth season as yet, the order is expected to be announced soon, and with it a non-U.S. main location for the first time.
Deadline reports that the the new season will see amateur sleuths and podcasters Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) heading to London.
Tomorrow’s fifth season finale is expected to hint at such a possibility. The series has mostly been confined to New York, bar the fourth season which was partly set in California.
What’s not clear is whether the actual murder at the center of next season would take place in London.
It also begs the question as to how some of the supporting regulars in the show like Michael Cyril Creighton (Howard), Jackie Hoffman (Uma), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Detective Donna Williams), Meryl Streep (Loretta), Richard Kind (Vince Fish) and Nathan Lane (Teddy Dimas) would feature with this shift.
