Netflix’s live-action “One Piece” has offered a first look at the “Little Garden” episodes of the upcoming second season – the arc that introduces the two captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates – Brogy (Brendan Murray) and Dory (Werner Coetser).
As the production famously uses practical sets and visuals as much as possible, the staff reportedly used classic tricks of forced perspective and giant props as opposed to heavily relying on CG to bring the giants to life.
The episode in question sees the crew visiting a prehistoric island untouched since the age of the dinosaurs, and with a volcano that erupts hourly.
Meanwhile, a list of episode titles has emerged via What’s on Netflix, which seems to confirm the new season clocks in at eight episodes, just like the first.
The titles are: “The Beginning Of The End” which tackles the ‘Loguetown’ arc, “Good Whale Hunting” which deals with ‘Reverse Mountain’, “Whiskey Business” which deals with ‘Whiskey Peak’, “Big Trouble In Little Garden” and “Wax On, Wax Off” which handle the ‘Little Garden’ arc.
The season will end with a three-parter – “Nami Deerest,” “Reindeer Shames”, and “Deer and Loathing in Drum Island”, which all deal with the ‘Drum Island’ arc and introduce Tony Tony Chopper.
