Official Trailer: Hulu’s “Flamin’ Hot” Film

Hulu

Hulu has premiered the official trailer and poster for the Eva Longoria-directed “Flamin’ Hot,” the first feature film to ever premiere simultaneously on both the Disney+ and Hulu SVOD services.

The true story-inspired tale follows Richard MontaƱez (Jesse Garcia), a Frito-Lay janitor who disrupted the food industry by channelling his Mexican American heritage to turn the scarlet-colored Flamin’ Hot Cheetos from a snack into a global pop culture phenomenon and marketing success story.

Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert, Emilio Rivera, Tony Shalhoub, Matt Walsh, Pepe Serna, Bobby Soto, Jimmy Gonzales, Brice Gonzalez co-star in the Searchlight Pictures title.

The film had its world premiere at SXSW where it was named the Audience Award winner in the festival’s Headliners section. It currently sits at 72% (6.7/10) on Rotten Tomatoes and a 68/100 on Metacritic.

The project was originally only slated to launch on Hulu, but the move to both platforms aims to ensure a wider viewership – and makes sure the film will also be made available on Disney+ internationally.

“Flamin” Hot” clocks in at a refreshing brief 98-minute runtime and launches on June 9th on both Disney+ and Hulu.
