Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Fills Out Cast

Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie have all joined the cast of the Obi-Wan Kenobi limited series in the works for the Disney+ service.

LucasFilm announced the additions today, they join returnees Ewan McGregor as the titular Jedi and Hayden Christensen returning to the role of Darth Vader. Edgerton and Piesse are almost certainly reprising their roles of Luke Skywalker’s uncle Owen Lars and aunt Beru.

The series will be directed by Deborah Chow and begins a decade after the events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”. Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and writer Joby Harold executive produce.

Shooting on the series begins in April, no premiere date has yet been set.
