NSYNC Confirm They Filmed “Star Wars” Cameos

Universal Pictures

Iconic boyband NSYNC reunited recently with the group doing their first new song together in twenty years with “Better Place,” one of the new tracks for the upcoming animated sequel “Trolls Band Together”.

Ahead of that track’s official release later this week, the band appeared on the newest episode of The Hot Ones (via Screen Rant) where they confirmed an old rumor that three of them had cameo roles as Jedi Knights in “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” back in 2002.

Singers JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick revealed that they shot their scenes, and had to learn sword choreography to do them, for their appearance that was filmed but ultimately cut from the film’s final release.

It’s likely their scenes took place as part of the massive arena battle scene on Geonosis involving a whole army of Jedi alongside Samuel L. Jackson’s Mace Windu, who’re out to rescue Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala from Count Dooku.

Fatone suggests footage of the group’s roles may still exist in Lucasfilm’s archives but it hasn’t been shown publicly to date.

Their new single releases on September 29th whilst “Trolls Band Together” will release in cinemas on November 17th.
