Emmy-winning “Alien: Earth,” “Legion” and “Fargo” series creator Noah Hawley has lined up his next feature directorial effort.
Hawley will direct and produce a reimagining of the 2017 Argentine supernatural horror film “Terrified” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Demian Rugna (“When Evil Lurks”), the writer/director of the original Spanish-language film, which was locally titled “Aterrados,” is developing the project with Hawley.
The original film centers on a police officer and a series of paranormal researchers and investigators who attempt to get to the bottom of supernatural occurrences that are all focused around one neighborhood in Buenos Aires.
The original film was released via the Shudder streaming platform and scored quite good reviews and was praised for its “amazing deaths and creature effects”.
Hawley made his feature film directorial debut in 2019 with Fox Searchlight’s “Lucy in the Sky”.
