Ninth “Resident Evil” Game “Requiem” Revealed

Capcom

Capcom has officially unveiled “Resident Evil: Requiem,” the ninth main entry in the “Resident Evil” franchise, which follows on from 2021’s eighth game “Resident Evil: Village”.

“Prepare to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core” says the press release that touts that “a new era of survival horror begins”.

The game was unveiled tonight as part of Summer Games Fest, and was arguably the biggest reveal of the night.

In the game, you play as Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from “Resident Evil: Outbreak,” and the game trailer confirms a return to Raccoon City, which is now in ruins – including the police station, which can be glimpsed.

It’s not immediately clear if the game will be third-person like the older titles or first-person like the seventh and eighth games.

“Resident Evil Requiem” launches February 27th 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
