An upgraded version of the Nintendo Switch console, dubbed the Nintendo Switch Pro, is reportedly in the works for an early 2021 release.
Taiwan’s Economic Daily News broke the news with Digital Trends and Bloomberg filling out the details. Production on the model will kick off later this year will feature a better display, be ‘more interactive’, and boast a more powerful CPU that could well do 4K whilst in dock mode.
The new hardware will also come with a new line-up of games, something the company is need of as aside from the hit “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” it has been thin on pumping out major new titles. A Super Mario Bros. anniversary game is rumored for the Fall.
As of June of this year, the Switch had sold more than 61 million consoles worldwide.
