The supporting cast of HBO & Crave’s gay hockey drama “Heated Rivalry” has been filled out as production on the second season continues.
As we know, the show’s leading men are returning – Connor Storrie as Ilya Rozanov and Hudson Williams as Shane Hollander. Joining them in new roles are recent additions Charlie Gillespie and Justice Smith.
Now, a bunch of other names are coming back. Chief among them is “The Borgias” and “Twinless” star François Arnaud as Scott Hunter, along with Robbie G.K. as his love interest Kip.
The fan-favourite couple’s storyline dominated the third episode of the first season, and led to what’s often considered the entire run’s high point at the end of the fifth episode.
Also returning Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh as Shane’s parents Yuna and David, Sophie Nélisse as Shane’s actress friend Rose and Daniela Kharlamova as Ilya’s longtime friend Svetlana. Also back are team members Callan Potter as Hayden and Benjamin Roy as JJ, as well as Kamilla Kowal as Hayden’s wife Jackie.
They all join newcomers to the season, including Daniel Diemer as Ryan, Shaheen Jafargholi as Fabian, Emily Hampshire as Vanessa, Edvin Ryding as Luca, Robert Naylor as Wyatt, Sabrina Jalees as Farah and Priyanka as Tarek.
Filming is expected to continue well into the Fall ahead of an airing around mid-2027.
